Inspired by the rhythms of Africa, Rhythm Arkadia is a vibrant and contemporary African-Australian ensemble that incorporates traditional African instruments including doun douns, djembes, kpalagos, kora, ngoni, shakeres and bells, infused with traditional and unique instruments including didge, flute and crystal singing bowls.
Rhythm Arkadia works with performers, fire twirlers, dancers and the Indigenous to create world class performances and workshops guaranteed to be remembered. Rhythm Arkadia performs widely at festivals, corporate events and Councils throughout Victoria.
Rhythm Arkadia are collaborating with an Indigenous elder to open the main stage on the morning of 31 December 2022.

Opening & Closing Cermonies
Arkadia Soundscapes are joining the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at Esoteric Festival.
The Opening Ceremony for Esoteric Festival 2022 will take place on Saturday the 12th of March from 11am, and the Closing Ceremony from 9pm on Monday the 14th of March, both on The Sun Temple stage. We invite our tribal family to be present with us as we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Dja Dja Wurrung people who are the traditional custodians of the Esoteric homeland.
Jida Gulpilil from the Dja Dja Wurrung Clan will welcome us to his Country through storytelling, a smoking ceremony and live didgeridoo sound healing. Live music from Victor Jay, a sound healing from Arkadia Soundscapes and a beautiful prayer-formance by Eclectica Performance.

Mickey and Kylie warmly invite you to a deeply immersive sound and yoga healing experience. This is a 2hr journey where you can expect to be gently supported into a relaxing state of consciousness through Kylie’s sonic weavings, whilst Mickey gently guides you through a restorative Yin Yoga practice.
Yin Yoga uses cosmic and earth energy to activate the seven chakras. Yoga is a magical system. It has the power to change our energy levels, emotions, mental state and regenerate our physical bodies.
Sound healing resonates at a cellular level. It slows down your brain waves to provide you with a heightened opportunity for restoration on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.
