Over the last seven years in active service to exploring the benefits of sound, Arkadia Soundscapes has offered a variety of workshops and performances at transformational festivals like Rainbow Serpent, Maitreya, Dreaming Deep, Earthcore, Yemaya, Seven Sisters and Synergy, plus many more. Offering such a high calibre of work, year after year, Kylie continues to be invited back to share medicinal music in these spaces.
Kylie first discovered the power of music through the love of the djembe. She travelled to West Africa in January 2007 to learn the traditional way of the drum through the West African lineage. While she was there her love of percussion opened to the Douns and soon she was introduced to the power of the Medicine Drum after learning Shamanic teachings with various Shamans.
When Kylie experienced her first sound healing over a decade ago, it opened up a whole new frequency and potential for healing as she attuned to the powerful vibration of Tibetan and crystal singing bowls. This also led her to explore the magic of the Gong and many other percussion instruments which she has since added to her repertoire.
Kylie blends these instruments together intuitively or as co-created by the practitioner she is collaborating with.
